Fatehpur Sikri- Reflection of Mughal Architecture
Great Mughal Emperor Akbar constructed the world heritage site of Fatehpur Sikri city. He built this city in honor of Shaikh Salim Chisti, a sufi saint who resided in a cave on crest at Sikri, and predicted the birth of his son. City claims to be the first planned Mughal city and put forth an unusual paradigm of Mughal architecture.
It represents a fusion of Indian, Islamic and Persian architecture. Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Diwan-e-Am and Panch Mahal are the famous places to see near Agra in Fatehpur Sikri.
Vrindavan- Virtuous Indian city
15 km from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India you will reach another highly respected town famous for its association with childhood days of lord Krishna, Vrindavan or Vraj. The city lies amid ancient forest which is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna played during his childhood days.
This place has a special reference in traditions of diverse religions and is blessed with hundreds of temples devoted to Hindu deities Radha Krishna. Madan Mohan Temple, Banke Bihari Temple, Radha Vallabh Temple, Jaipur Temple, Sri Krishna-Balarama Temple and Shree Radha Ras Bihari Ashta Sakhi Temple are the most famous tourist sites in Vridavan.
Chambal Safari 
Consider National Chambal Sanctuary while looking for places to visit near Agra. It attracts ardent wildlife explorers towards itself every year. Situated along bank of Chambal River, this sanctuary is known for housing imperative flora and fauna.
It is probably the last existing home to Gangetic River Dolphin. 1200 Gharials and 300 Marsh Crocodiles find protection in this sanctuary and attract a lot of visitors towards this place. Besides, various native and migratory birds, eight species of turtles along with smooth coated Otters find shelter in this National Park.
Mathura 
In North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, approx. 50 km from Agra, holy city of Mathura is found. With several folklores associated, name of this city has been mentioned in ancient Indian epics like Ramayana. Also, it is believed to be the birth place of Lord Krishna. All these religious relations have included Mathura in list of ‘Seven Holy Cities of India’. This pious town is home to many popular highlights each having either historical or religious significance. Keshav Dev Temple, one of the most visited temples today was built on the site believed to be the place of birth of Lord Krishna.
Earliest two centers which produced the human images of Gautam Buddha belong to Mathura. Other famous attractions of this place are Krishnajanmabhoomi, Jai gurudev Ashram, Kans Tila, Rangeshwar Mahadev Mandir and Mathura museum.
Bharatpur Sanctuary
It is one of the finest place to see near Agra. Renowned as one of the best bird sanctuaries all over the world, it is located at a distance of just 55km from Agra. Credit for its existence goes to Maharaja of Bharatpur.
Today it shelters thousands of beautiful birds – both migratory as well as indigenous. Lately, it has been renamed as Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Besides being safeguard to endangered species of Siberian cranes, this sanctuary is also occupied by native water birds, Sambar, Nilgai, Chital and Boar. Although the sanctuary is accessible throughout the year, best time to visit is during October to February.
