Delhi Red Fort

The Delhi Red Fort (Lal Qila) is a multifarious fort which was constructed in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is located in Old Delhi opposite to Jama Masjid. It is a source of incredulous delight to countless tourists who come to visit it every year.

Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun's tomb, located in East Delhi is a cluster of buildings is a time-forgotten mausoleum constructed way back in 16th century. India Gate

Rashtrapati Bhavan

The Rashtrapati Bhavan is the colloquial term for the Presidential House. It is the largest of its kind in the world and was formerly known as Viceroy’s House during the British Rule. As of now it is the dwelling of the Indian President, Ms. Pratibha Patil.

Qutub Minar

The Qutub Minar as the name suggests is the tallest tower in the world of 72 and a half meters. The construction was started in the 12th century by the first ruler of Slave Dynasty, Qutb-uddin Aibak. The walls are in scripted with quotes from Quran. The Iron Pillar in the vicinity is a source of wonder to many.

Raj Ghat Gandhi Memorial

Raj Ghat Gandhi Memorial is a cenotaph to the nation hero, Mahatma Gandhi. On a simple platform of black marble that has marked Gandhiji’s cremation spot, the eternal flame burns uninterrupted as a tribute to the great life ended so brutally on 31st January 1948. It is positioned on the banks of Yamuna.

Purana Qila

Purana Qila or Old Fort is the oldest fortress in Delhi. It has some implications to the times of Pandavas in Mahabharata. It was completed by Mughal Emperor Humayun and that is the reason for placing his tomb near Purana Qila. It lies opposite to Mathura Road in south eastern part of Delhi.
