Hi all,
First of all, I'd say I wouldn't trust some of the positive reviews posted above. To me they read as though they've been written by someone in India, not by a native English speaker at least (though that's what they purpost to be). Just makes me question their authenticity.
Having said that, I've used Eland holidays on more than one occasion for tours in India (Golden Triangle + Ranthambhore + Amritsar and Kerala), and would recommend them. They've organised every detail of our tours, been extremely helpful and responsive even when I've chopped and changed my itinerary a number of times, and ensured that everything has gone to plan from start to finish. There's always been someone to greet us at the airport on arrival and when travelling on the train from Delhi to Amritsar Eland sent someone to make sure we got on to the train and into our seats, even lifting our heavy suitcases onboard. On our return, our driver was waiting for us there on the platform as the train pulled in.
In response to jthg, unfortunately this is commonplace in India. I wouldn't necessarily blame Eland, but rather the guides they hire - unfortunately they sometimes like to make a bit extra on the side by taking commissions from local shops when they bring tourists along to buy! We've been taken into shops on tours in Agra and elsewhere, although in my case there was no pressure to buy.

My husband and I have just returned from India completing the Golden Triangle and Rathambore National Park. You have nothing to worry about Eland Holidays, very professional and Sachin is only a phone call away.
We had the same car and driver for the week(we did opt for the 5^ with no Delhi Belly), and a specialized tour guild meets you at each location.
I have read concerns about the factory visits, this can be resolved by making it Very clear to the Tour Guild you don't want to go. Expensive and time consuming. ATM safe to use.
We were extremely lucky and saw a tiger at Rathambore which topped of a wonder trip, Food, people were great, an experience of a life time enjoy your trip.

We can definitely recommend Eland holidays. My wife and I organised a Golden Triangle tour followed by a stay in Goa. Normally we would usually book an Indian holiday with the usual named English companies, however as the English companies are getting expensive we decided to venture a bit further. After researching Eland holidays and getting positive feedback from previous customers we decided to book. Sachin the director adjusted the itinerary to suit our needs, and booked the hotels that we chose. The resulting holiday was one of seeing the wonders of India at our own pace. Eland provided excellent service in the form of advice, guides and a driver throughout. Special mention must go to Karan Rathi the guide in Delhi and Nadeem Aslam - guide in Agra both gave us very friendly and professional service. Last but not least the driver Pradeep Sharma who was always punctual and helpful. If you're reading this Sachin thanks for a memorable trip and we will be in touch soon to book our next trip to Kerala.

My husband and I had an excellent trip to India through Elandholidays. They are very accessible by email and phone and their service is professional and thorough. They chose excellent, english speaking drivers for us, were waiting for us upon arrival at the airport and helped us select excellent hotels. We were concerned about traveling to India and using an unfamiliar tour service, but after seeing how incredible Elandholidays has been we will definitely use them again in the future. My wife and I had a great trip in Kerala through Elandholidays. All arrangements, including the hotels, guides and driver were excellent. The trip never felt rushed in spite of the many places we visited and was scheduled perfectly with a nice relaxing few days at the end. The driver and the guide knew the good restaurants in each town and also while driving and we couldn't have asked for better companions. Several years ago, we also did the golden triangle tour (delhi, agra and jaipur) arranged by Pawan Verma who is now with Elandholidays and the arrangements were impeccable with personal attention and a pro-active willingness to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible.
