Amritsar means ‘pool of immortality'. It is close to India-Pakistan border. It is the cultural and devout hub of Sikh religion and is the abode of the Golden Temple. It is said to attract even more visitors than the Taj Mahal. It was constructed to venerate 9th Sikh Guru. The Golden Triangle with Amritsar is especially popular among the non resident Indians. Amritsar has a valid space in the Indian political history due to the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre (1919) and the Operation Blue Star (1984) during the governance of Indira Gandhi. If the forts, mausoleums, gardens, markets, wildlife of cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur take you to a time where you can feel and see the storybook images fluttering by, Amritsar give you real pictures of India's struggles for independence and perseverance and valour of the freedom fighters. If you want to gather more information about the golden triangle with Amritsar, get in touch with a reliable tour operator. It would be best not to depend on 2nd person information.
